BIRTHDAY PARTIES ACTIVITIES
Select activities to total up to 90 minutes, which is one hour and thirty minutes, and enjoy an additional 30 minutes for your cake and nibbles*.
Workshop 1 – Pebble Painting (30 minutes)
Decorate smooth pebbles using acrylic paints and pens. Create colourful patterns, animals, or designs that can be kept as keepsakes or paperweights.
Workshop 2 – Wire Sculpture (30 minutes)
Use flexible wire, pliers and cutters to bend and shape simple 3D forms. Explore basic techniques to make small figures, abstract shapes or decorative objects.
Workshop 3 – Monotype Printing (30 minutes)
Experiment with monotype printing on perspex sheets using inks and drawing tools. Create one-of-a-kind prints by drawing into the ink and transferring the design onto paper.
Workshop 4 – Collective Floor Painting (90 minutes)
A collaborative group activity for up to 8 young people. Work together on a large-scale floor painting, sharing ideas and building a shared artwork using paints and mark-making tools.
Workshop 5 – Mask Making (60 or 90 minutes)
Design and decorate your own mask on card using acrylic paints, pens and a range of additional resources. Create expressive faces, animal masks or fantasy designs.
Workshop 6 – Clay Sculpture (60 or 90 minutes)
Sculpt with clay using a variety of tools. Build small 3D forms – animals, figures or abstract shapes – learning basic hand-building techniques.
Workshop 7 – Butterfly/Bug Making (90 minutes)
Construct colourful butterflies or bugs using wire frames and tissue paper. Shape the structure and add delicate paper wings for a light, decorative finish.
Workshop 8 – Themed Artist Painting on Canvas (90 minutes)
Paint on canvas inspired by a chosen artist or theme, using acrylic paints. Develop composition and colour skills while creating a finished artwork to take home.
Workshop 9 – Linocut Printing (150 minutes)
For young people aged 12 and over (additional £5.00 per person). Carve a design into lino, ink the block and print it onto paper. Learn the full process of relief printing to produce multiple prints.
