Volunteer Set Designer Opportunity, No Experience Needed!
Are you passionate about theatre, art, or DIY projects? Want to be part of a dynamic creative team that brings stories to life on stage? Join us as a volunteer set designer and help create the magic behind our productions!
As being part of the Southsea Stage Crafters you’ ll be taught and guided by professional local fine artist and sculptor Tina Sanchez to design and build innovative set pieces, stage props, costumes, including eye-catching headdresses/ headpieces, and masks to bringing magical stories alive.
What’s involved?
- Painting and decorating to bring scenes to life
- Designing and constructing stage props and costumes
- Creating original art and unique props
- Gaining experience in managing a team and leading creative projects
- Picking up new skills in set design and production
- Working alongside a friendly, supportive team
- Expressing your creativity in a lively, collaborative environment
- Contributing to vibrant community theatre events
- Get to manage projects to build your portfolio with guidance

Set projects take place at two fantastic locations: Trinity Theatre, Albert Road PO4 0LX, Southsea, and My Friendly Planet Art & Design School, 114 Waverley Road, Southsea. We’ll let you know where your contribution will happen!
